Favorite GMT memory: My favorite GMT memory is from my trip to the DR. Our hotel room was right next to the gym, and one night there was really loud music playing. I was having a hard time falling asleep, so I went to tell them to turn it down, and it ended up being 3 of our staff members. They told me to join them, so I went to change and then proceeded to one of the hardest workouts of my life. They followed their own routine, which essentially consisted of a bunch of supersets with little to no rest periods, and I was absolutely drenched in sweat by the end of the night.
Why did you join GMT? I've been a part of several pre-health organizations, but I wanted to join something that offered more than the standard volunteering and guest speaker events. I heard about GMT from a friend and was interested in the unique clinical exposure that these trips provide. This organization allows to make an actual impact in the lives of the impoverished and gives us an unparalleled opportunity to work directly alongside physicians.
